About Us
Juan Diaz &
Jourdan Armstrong
There are friendships that come and go in life in the seasons they naturally do, and then there are those that come to really show us and teach us what it means to be a friend, to be a brother and to have someone to count on. We have been through so much together, the peaks and the valleys, we have laughed into eternity and also stood beside each other in silence when words couldn’t fix what life threw at us. Through it all, we’ve both learned what it means to be a brother and to continue to strive to be a better man in this world, every single day. It has long been our dream and vision to bring something like this to the world and share it with others.
The name Key Holders originates from the translation of San Pedro, the figure who holds the keys to the gates of heaven. We believe that in this life, each of us is a worthy key holder to the gates of realization, understanding that heaven exists right here, in the world before our very eyes. Through embracing nature, togetherness, honesty, sharing intentions, and working with the medicine, we open ourselves to the true mirror reflecting who we genuinely are. This process empowers us to become the people we truly believe we can be, living intentionally and creating the most beautiful world possible, for ourselves, our families, our children, and everyone we surround ourselves with.
Don Martin Loarte
Martin is an Andean native man, born and raised in Chavin de Huantar, a very special origin place for the history of the Huachuma culture in Peru and the greater Americas. Martin is a humble man, who carries the energy of the mountains in his soul, he is a father, a stone carver, a tour guide and most of all he is a beautiful man to be in the presence of.
Martin will guide us on our journey with absolute dedication, serving our medicine and carrying our prayers with deep respect. Born of the mountains that cradle his homeland, he knows every path and hidden trail, leading us safely through nature’s embrace. Alongside his trusted team of friends who share his reverence and care, they will nurture us every step of the way, ensuring our spirits remain strong and connected. Together, we will walk the bridges of eternity, crossing into realms both physical and sacred, bound by trust, healing, and the timeless wisdom Martin embodies.
Huachuma - San Pedro
Huachuma, the sacred San Pedro cactus of the Andes, is one of our greatest teachers. Many revere Huachuma as the grandfather plant medicine. His spirit has been guiding humans for thousands of years, long before written history, Huachuma is a bridge between earth and sky. Originating in the high mountains of Peru, Huachuma was revered by the ancient Chavín culture, whose temples (that we will be visiting) are carved with images containing Huachuma as a symbol of transformation and divine connection. Huachuma opens the heart, clears the mind, and teaches us to see with truth, reminding us of our harmony with all living things.
